Johnny Blackshaw Oulton Park Review

Accident Advice Solicitors supported rider Johnny Blackshaw had another difficult weekend this weekend at the third round of the National Superstock 1000 class at his local round Oulton Park. The likable rider made much improvement on the Kawasaki Ninja at Oulton and was unfortunate to have to pull out of the race with a mechanical problem.

The youngster was running well throughout his qualifying and practice sessions and ended up in 26th place on the overall grid out of a bunch of 47 riders. He got a good start and was up to 20th after the opening lap but Johnny soon realised there was an issue with his bike and pulled in at the end of lap four.

Johnny Blackshaw - "We made a lot of progress this weekend with the bike and I am now learning and understanding how to ride it better and get the most out of it. In each session we made massive progression to move forward through the pack and was happy with my qualifying and just wanted to get a good race under my belt as I felt like I could have pushed and got into the point. The bike was losing power early on in the race and I thought it best I pulled into the pits before anything terminal happened. We will be getting the engine looked at and fixed before the next race at Donington in a few weeks' time and I hope we can turn things around there."
