After a good first outing at Paul Ricard, where he was able to fight for overall podium driving Autorlando Sport Porsche 997 GT3 R, Isaac Tutumlu heads to the Autdromo do Algarve, Portugal, where he will racein the International GT Open and Spanish Iber GT series.
Isaac Tutumlu and Barzani Racing Team want to continue their good form in Portugal, where the International GT Open celebrates its second 2013 meeting next weekend. In France, the Barcelona-born driver fought for the overall podium in race one and just a mechanical issue prevented him achieving it.
In race two, teaming up with Dimitris Deverikos, he was 6th in GTS class. More importantly Tutumlu will be participating in the International GT Open and also in the Spanish Iber GT championship which starts at the Algarve track and its races take place with the European ones.
Tutumlu aims to be fighting for top-places, just like at Paul Ricard. There everything was new for me, the circuit, my teammate, the car and the team, and despite that we were pretty competitive from starting point. I raced for first time in Portimao two years ago, and I like it. We have three tests previous to free practice sessions, so well have plenty of time to prepare our car for the races. I feel optimistic.
Tutumlu, 27 years of age, explains that our debut at Paul Ricard was quite good. I think Barzani Racing Team and I have met two outstanding teammates: Autorlando Sport and Dimitris. Autorlando Sport is an official Porsche team, and its Porsche 997 GT3 R is really good. I didnt know Dimitris, but his competiveness is high. I think he and I are a good driver line-up for aiming the podium.
