Edoardo Piscopo joins SUPERSTARS with RGA-prepared BMW M3 E92

The SUPERSTARS INTERNATIONAL SERIES is proud to welcome Edoardo Piscopo to the championship's 2013 roster. The Roman-based driver, currently living in London due to study commitments, will be on-track on the May 18th weekend at Brno. He will be racing a BMW M3 E92 prepared by RGA Sportmanship.

The SUPERSTARS round at Brno will mark Piscopo's maiden run in 2013 after a positive season in the 2012 Porsche Carrera Cup. In 2011, he had started his GT and touringcar career by entering the Blancpain Endurance Series alongside Leo and Greg Mansell with a GT4 Lotus Evora. In the previous years, Piscopo had enjoyed a successful open-wheel career between F.Renault, Formula 3 (he ended up as a runner-up in the 2008 Italian Championship) and A1GP in addition to an already-rich karting resume.

"I can't wait to make my SUPERSTARS debut at Brno - told Piscopo - which is my favourite European track after Mugello. I've always followed the championship in TV and it's safe to say that is one of the most entertaining and hard-fought ones in modern racing. Their powerful brand and media visibility is also helpful for drivers aiming to be part of the competition. I'm excited to line-up against the top-notch opponents, people like Liuzzi, Morbidelli, Biagi and I'm definitely going to learn a lot from them. I'm sorry for not having joined from Monza although, on paper, the BMW should be much better suited in Czech Republic. I won't have the chance to test prior to the weekend so every single lap will be key in getting comfortable with the car. I've raced open-wheel cars for quite some time and the BMW M3 should drive in a similar fashion. I want to thank the team for giving me this opportunity and I'm looking forward to give 100% on-track.
