Both races saw the team race in the lead pack and on the leaders pace only to see some bad luck prevent top five or possibly even podium results. Another competitive performance, with a little good fortune thrown in, could result in the Chopard/TOTAL teams best 2013 to date this weekend at Laguna Seca.I am really looking forward to Laguna Seca, Bryce Miller. We keep improving and the speed is starting to show now. We just need to string it all together into a result.
The Paul Miller Racing team has performed flawlessly this year, turning out a well prepared Porsche at both Sebring and Long Beach. Only some ill-timed caution periods in the Sebring race, and a cut tire in qualifying that forced a last-place starting position at Long Beach, have kept the team and drivers from realizing the true potential of their Michelin-shod Porsche.
This weekends race is four hours which means strategy and pit stops will play an important role, Bryce Miller said. This circuit is one of my favorites with all the elevation change and the corkscrew segment. Im really having a lot of fun driving again with these Michelins now on the car.Paul Miller Racing is in its first season on Michelins and the team and drivers have adapted well to the new tires. Holzer posted the fastest GT practice lap at Long Beach and similar strong results are expected this weekend at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.I am really looking forward to Laguna Seca, it is a great track to drive with famous corners, especially the Corkscrew, Holzer said. And I am really looking for a good position that brings us up in the championship!Bryce Miller finished fifth in the GTC class in the 2010 ALMS race at Laguna Seca in addition to a third-place GT finish in the 2007 GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series race in Monterey.Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca is the first permanent and natural terrain road course on the 2013 calendar, following the legendary Sebring airport circuit and the equally iconic Long Beach street course. The 2.238-mile, 11-turn Monterey track is equally revered around the world and features dramatic elevation changes and legendary features such as the Turn 2 Andretti Hairpin and The Corkscrew. The tracks location on the Monterey Peninsula also makes it a favorite stop for teams and drivers alike.
