The SUPERSTARS WORLD is all set for an outstanding debut in Czech Republic as the former Superbike venue is about to host round 2 out of 8 for the two SWR-organized international championships.
New and exciting names will hit the track in one week starting from the returning Fabrizio Giovanardi, running on a Petri Corse-prepared Porsche Panamera S and Christian Klien (racing on a BMW M3 for Scuderia Giudici). Young and talented Edoardo Piscopo will also join the BMW camp, entering his rookie race for returning Team RGA. Top action is expected on-track thanks to the series' major stars, including Mercedes men Vitantonio Liuzzi and Thomas Biagi, Audi's Gianni Morbidelli and a full line-up of competitive contenders. After having made their debut at Monza, Chevrolet will be back with their brand-new Camaro while Cadillac will also join together with Chrysler and Jaguar.
GTSPRINT is also set to hit record numbers with a direct confrontation between top car brands. The Ferrari 458 Italia and Porsche 997 racers will also be joined by names like the brand-new Maserati MC GT3, the Audi R8, the debuting BMW Alpina B6 plus the American-built Corvette Z06 R and Dodge Viper racers.
The grid will be featuring 51 drivers coming from 13 different countries, 25 teams, 11 different car brands with 17 models. Forty crews overall are set to be lined-up.
The SUPERSTARS WORLD will benefit as usual from a massive communication platform. The races will be broadcasted live for a total 4.5 hours of coverage involving 99 territories (up from 80 at Monza with the addition of the middle eastern countries covered by Motor Vision TV). The number of live broadcasters has also increased from 80 to 99.
The weekend's program will be starting with the running of GTSPRINT Race 1 at 09.15, followed by SUPERSTARS Race 1 at 12.00. Race 2 of SUPERSTARS will then go underway at 16.10 while GTSPRINT Race 2 will be rounding out an exciting schedule at 17.30.
