Luciano Bacheta aims for homes victory in Silverstone

Luciano Bacheta is the only British driver in the 2013 Auto GP and he's fully-prepared to line-up for his home round at Silverstone, on June the 2nd. Luciano is one of the three reigning champions in this season's competition as he won  the 2012 FIA Formula 2 championship before test-driving a Formula 1 Williams. After scoring one win and one second place between Monza and Marrakech, he's committed to do it all again in the UK.You found an agreement with Zele Racing just a few weeks before the beginning of the season. How do you judge your work until now?"The deal was very late, but we have done an OK job some far. I'm quite hard to please and unless I am at the top of the standings I will not be happy. But it's satisfying to have achieved a win and a second place".You scored your maiden win in Marrakech, after getting onto the podium in Monza. Did you expect to be so competitive in your first season in Auto GP?"Yes I expected to be competitive, last year I had my first full season in F2 which I won, so naturally my targets will not change, we are pushing very hard to improve from all sides".In Budapest you lost the chance to achieve another podium finish due a collision. Could you have been able fight for more?"Budapest was a strange weekend for us, we had some set up problems which nobody could understand and therefore we had to race hard for small points. I had an accident battling for 8th in race one, but things like this happen especially with pit stops and no tyre warmers Its very fun but sometimes it can get messy!".How do you feel with the Auto GP car? What impressed you the most?"The power followed by the noise, it feels so thrilling to drive but also manageable, I have learnt a lot in this car which should prepare me well for the next step".Next round will be Silverstone, your home race. What does that mean to you?"I love racing at Silverstone, this will be my first race there since I became a full member of the BRDC, last year I had a double win in F2, that will be tricky to repeat in Auto GP due to the reverse grids, but i'll do my best to achieve a win".Whats your goal for the second part of the season?

"My target is to consistently be quick, have a better understanding of the car and tyres and get good results in every race. There is still time for me to work my way up to the top of the leader board".
