Brno GTSprint win sets Ferrari Ukraine sights on 2013 title

AFTER MOVING TO SECOND PLACE IN STANDINGS, KRUGLYK  LOOKS FORWARD TO CLOSE ONE-POINT GAP AT SLOVAKIA RING

The Brno round of the 2013 GTSPRINT INTERNATIONAL SERIES featured three different winners. While Andrii Kruglyk and Raffaele Giammaria cruised to win Race 1 for Team Ferrari Ukraine, Glauco Solieri brought the Porsche brand back in contention with a win in Race 2. As always, Ferrari and Porsche provided an exciting battle for the 26.000 fans on the grandstands.

The team, managed by Ugo Maceratini, couldn't have asked for more. Their bright-coloured Ferrari 458 Italia GTS3 had ended up with a third and a fourth-place finish at Monza, with Kruglyk joined by Ruslan Tsyplakov. At Brno, they fielded a second GTS3 car with Tsyplakov behind the wheel while Giammaria joined Kruglyk after having served as a driver's coach in Round 1."We think we are very well suited in GTSPRINT - told Team Manager Ugo Maceratini - and the first results are finally coming following to some very hard work made by all of us in search of performance. There's a long road still ahead, but I'm convinced we'll sit at the right table to try and win the 2013 title"."It's been an almost perfect weekend - said Giammaria - a minor technical issue during the second race's pit-stop brought us a drive-through penalty but  our weekend's score is still consistent. With one win and one third place we're now sure that we are working in the right direction. The car was very fast, we showed it in qualifying and then by winning Race 1. Now we are focused on the rest of the championship as we hope for more victories soon".The GTSPRINT INTERNATIONAL SERIES will be back roaring for round 3 of 2013 on the 9th of June at Slovakia Ring.
