Mason Law Donington WSBK review

Mason Law riding on the Chris Walker Race School Kawasaki once again had another solid weekend at round four of the National Superstock 600 Championship at Donington Park. The youngster who is proving his ability in the road racing paddock once again gained some good points finishing the 12-lap race in 10th place.

In his first season in the British Championship the 17-year-old from Benfleet is having a great year and is mastering the art of riding in a very tough Championship. Getting held up slightly during qualifying he was only able to place himself in 20th place on the grid for the race.

He got a good start and moved his way up a few places after the opening lap and he was soon creeping his way forwards and into another points scoring position. After the safety car came back into the pits Mason was able to gain several more places and took a confident 10th place.

Mason Law - "Once again I made a lot of work for myself after qualifying in 20th place I knew the race was going to be tough and I knew I had to get my head down early on and try and make some clean passes. It was a bit frantic at the start and everyone was fighting for position and I just wanted to settled down and get into a rhythm.

I was locked in some really good battles and everyone luckily was playing nicely so it made the race really interesting and exciting. With the safety car out we were able to group up behind the bunch in front and as soon as I could get going I did and was able to make some good moves on the remaining few laps.

I'm really beginning to settle into racing now and despite having to learn each track as I arrive I am really enjoying the time. I need to get up further during qualifying which should then give me a better chance to finish higher up in the races. I am looking forward to getting to Knockhill and hoping to keep improving there."
