Race Winner Lloyd Hoping To Continue Momentum At Oulton

Daniel Lloyd is hoping to give his local supporters plenty to celebrate at Oulton Park Island Circuit next weekend, 8th/9th June, when the Porsche Carrera Cup GB Championship resumes for rounds seven and eight of the season.Fourth in the driver standings ahead of the categorys annual visit to the North West, the 21-year-old will arrive at the picturesque and demanding 2.23-mile track with his confidence as high as its been all year after claiming his first victory of 2013 last time out at Thruxton in Hampshire.Giving his title aspirations a major boost, the winadded to second place in the other Thruxton encounterenabled the Porsche Carrera Cup GB Scholar to rocket up the points table from seventh position. Although a test outing at Oulton Park earlier this week was affected by rain, Daniel still felt the mileage was very useful and will stand him in good stead for the upcoming races. Its a shame the test was wet as we were looking forward to some dry running, he commented, It was quite greasy to begin with and then we had constant rain in the afternoon. We already know weve got a good set-up in the wet, but it was still good to have some time in the car.I love Oulton, it's a fantastic track and it's obviously one of my home circuits. Actually, I've never done that well at Oulton to be honest, sometimes as a driver you really look forward to your home races and they never work out as you want! Hopefully this season will be different for us and we can keep our good momentum going from Thruxton. The journey across to rural Cheshire actually marks the first of two home race meetings for the Team Parker Racing driverthe second of those coming at Croft in North Yorkshire a few weeks from now. For rounds seven and eight next weekend, Daniel will be cheered on by scores of guests travelling from West Yorkshire who all hope to celebrate some podium successes.

We've only had six races so far so there are loads more points to be scored, I'm feeling nice and positive for Oulton, said Daniel, There's no reason we shouldn't do well and we'll just go there nice and relaxed and do the best we can. We've got loads of people going, 60 odd guests I think, so I really want to have a strong weekend for them as well as me and the team!Following pre-event practice at Oulton Park next Friday, 7th June, qualifying for rounds seven and eight will take place at 12.05 on Saturday, 8th June, with the opening race of the weekend getting underway at 17.05.On Sunday, 9th June, round eight is scheduled to start at approximately 15.55 and will be screened live on Freeview, digital satellite and cable channels ITV4 and ITV4 HD. Additionally, there will be live online streaming at www.itv.com/btcc
