Isaac Tutumlu eyes International GT Open podium at Nurburgring

Teaming up with Dimitris Deverikos and driving the Autorlando Sport Porsche 997 GT3 R under Barzani Racing Team banner, Tutumlu will arrive in  Germany with excellent past memories.

Isaac Tutumlu, a Spanish driver of Kurdish roots,  has performed pretty well so far driving the Autorlando Sport Porsche 997 GT3 R clinching his maiden podium in Portugal.

Tutumlu is going to race at Nurburgring, a track bringing back some good memories, as he explains because I made my debut in the Porsche Supercup there, four years ago. I like Nurburgring, and in my opinion is a suitable track for our car. Fast bends and other sectors where a good engine is a big help are two good features for our vehicle.

The well-experienced GT driver stressed that we proved our competitiveness at Paul Ricard, and then at Algarve track we moved a step forward clinching a double podium finish, both in the International GT Open and Spanish Iber GT series. As Ive said before, I like Nurburgring and the forecast predicts rain. Everyone knows the weather is an important issue in Germany, and it could be our ally for good results. Everyone at Autorlando Sport is really motivated, the team has already won there and my results have been good as well, so Last but not least Autorlando Sport is fielding a second car for Jeroen Bleekemolen, a Porsche star and close friend of mine, so well have a second car to work on the correct set-up.

Free practice sessions are taking place today, with two sessions scheduled. Then on Saturday Q1 starts at 09.00 and then race one70 minutes- is due to start at 16.00. Race two on Sunday starts at 12.00 and the starting grid will be decided after Q2 also taking place on Saturday.
