Motul renews its sponsorship with Isle of Man TT Races

Motul, Europe's leading specialist in the field of motorcycle lubricants and lubrication has renewed its links with the world's most famous road race for the fourth consecutive year. Named as Official Lubricants Partner to the Isle of Man TT fuelled by Monster Energy, Motul will be present at the spiritual home of motorcycles and their riders to once again enjoy the mythology, history and excitement of the event.

Testing on the 37.73 mile public road course began on Saturday (25th May), and the 100+ competitors have been putting themselves through their paces on the scenic Isle of Man, which lies in the Irish Sea between the North West coast of England and Northern Ireland. This year, Motul's iconic red and white colours will be seen on two specific corners - Quarter Bridge and Gooseneck.

Motul views the IoM TT as an integral part of its two-wheel test and development programme and the complexity and duration of the event provides a perfect backdrop at which to carry out that research. Furthermore, with the launch earlier this year of its new technologically advanced motorcycle lubricant range, the event allows Motul multiple opportunities to reach its consumers on a personal level. Within the new range is the 100% synthetic 300V Factory Line lubricant, which will be used by a number of teams and riders throughout the 2013 entry list.

The most notable of these is the TT Legends team with whom Motul is official partner for the second year, and its riders include the legendary, 19-times Isle of Man TT winner, John McGuinness. Michael Rutter and Michael Dunlop - who have three TT wins apiece - will join him to form a formidable three-man line-up for the Dainese Superbike and PokerStars Senior TT races.

Spectators and fans worldwide are eagerly awaiting the Dainese Superbike and PokerStars Senior TT races on which take place on Saturday 1st June and Friday, 7th June. All eyes will be on the Honda TT Legends squad as McGuinness defends his title as fastest man around the course and all three will be fighting to add the 2013 Superbike and Senior titles to their tally of victories on the Mountain Course.

Visitors to this year's Isle of Man TT will have the chance to see an exclusive film following the Honda TT Legends throughout the 2012 Endurance World Championship and road-racing season. An hour-long special of 'TT Legends' will be shown daily at the Manx Museum in Douglas.

As part of its partnership with the event, Motul will also be offering the "Motul Award for Technical Performance" to the most meritorious team, to be awarded on Friday 7th June.
