Skip Skype Very early in Skip Barbers racing career, he went up to Mosport to race in the Players 200, a big-deal sports car race. He had just gotten his hands on a 1.5-liter Lotus 23, and the self-admittedly racing-industry-nave Skip found himself up against another Lotus 23 driver, a certain Mr. Clark.
A couple weeks ago, long time F1 journalist Peter Windsor, who is doing a year in the life series on Clark during the 1963 racing season2013 is a year that has the exact same dates/days as 1963Skyped with Skip to tell this tale of identical Lotus 23s. A Skip Skype, as it were.
Peter recorded the Skype interview for use on his British TV show, but in the meantime, he wrote up the story and just posted it on his blog.
We think you will find this tale interesting; click here to read the story about that race...
