Round 3: Juniper Autotest, 2 June
Ian Chapman took his first outright win at MSA Championship level on the Juniper Autotest at the MK Stadium in Milton Keynes.
Paul Fobister went into the final run of three tests only 1.6 seconds behind Chapman but was unable to match the pace, nevertheless finishing second overall and first in class for his best MSA result to date.
There was disappointment for Chris Chapman, who led the event from the start only for the handbrake to fail, resulting in a maximum time penalty on Test 12 and dropping him out of contention for the win. Roger Holder had borrowed Gavin Dickson's Nova for the day and set a blistering pace in Class B, finishing third overall and only 5.2 seconds off FTD.
