Round 2: Jim Clark Rally, 31 May-1 June

Jukka Korhonen clinched his second consecutive victory after a final stage showdown with Tom Cave on the Jim Clark Rally.

Cave put up a valiant effort to claw back vital seconds from pace-setter Korhonen and took the lead after the latter lost time following a spin on stage eight. However, Korhonen sneaked ahead once again and a battle for the victory culminated in a thrilling final stage encounter.

Only one tenth of a second separated Cave and Korhonen going into the stage and a storming time from Korhonen saw the Finnish driver claim the overall victory.
