Round 4: Mallory Park, 2 June
Reigning champion Julian Godfrey claimed victory at a sunny Mallory Park to bolster his position at the top of the championship standings.
Godfrey had a fairly easy run to the flag once pole-sitter Pat Doran suffered gearbox issues midway through the first lap. It was a huge disappointment for Doran, who had been in superb form all day, winning two heats to take pole.
Doran drove around his mechanical problems and managed to keep Andy Grant at bay for second place. Steve Harris started well but suffered front driveshaft issues but managed to continue and came home ahead of Heat 3 winner Jon B Hrolfsson in his Subaru Impreza. Previous Mallory winner "Mad Mark" suffered head gasket issues in Heat 2, which ended his day.
