Forcefield Body Armour Isle of Man TT review

Forcefield struck a last minute deal with the Quattro Plant Kawasaki team for the TT and ran their logo on the number one bike of James Hiller for the Isle of Man TT week, with some great coverage and strong results Hiller has a successful week over on the Island. Breaking all his own personal records and doing the 131mph twice plus a win in the Lightweight class it was a great achievement for the team. Hillier was no less than seventh place in any of the six races he competed in throughout the week and broke the lap and race record in the Lightweight class on the final Friday.

Forcefield backed rider Gary Johnson had a mixed week and suffered a number of DNF's throughout the week with bike issues. However he was on awesome form for the Superstock race on Monday afternoon, Gary led Michael Dunlop on lap one by four seconds, the lead was cut to just over a second at the end of lap two when they pitted for fuel. Dunlop took the lead on lap three and pulled a slight margin over Gary to take the win.

Gary Johnson - "It wasn't the most ideal TT week for me I seemed to have a number of minor problems throughout the week which forced me to pull out of a couple of the races. I'm a bit disappointed but it was nice to put it on the podium in the Superstock race and was some consolation on the rest of the week. Once again my Forcefield kit was mega and in the mixed weather conditions did a great job of keeping me warm when needed and cool during race week."

Isle of Man based Dan Kneen also had a good weekend and finished in the top 15 in all races bar one which was a great after a huge crash six weeks prior to the TT where he broke several bones in his foot.

Dan Kneen - "Looking at my results for the TT I know I could have done better if I was better prepared so I'm slightly disappointed with it although I was only three seconds off my personal best in the Senior race, so considering I've never rode before the TT due to my injuries I know next year will be a good one for me when I'm fit and fully prepared. The Forcefield kit thankfully wasn't tested here but all the under-suits were great and helped me over the two weeks keep my body temperature right."
