Isaac Tutumlu and Barzani Racing together with the Porsche 997 GT3 R fielded by Autorlando Sport are heading to Jerez along with co-driver Dimitris Deverikos.
The Circuito de Jerez meeting will also count towards the Spanish Iber GT championship as well, where the driver of Kurdish roots lies second overall.I like Jerez, and Ive great racing memories there even when I havent visited it recently. My last season there was in 2008, participating in the Spanish Endurance Cup and driving a Nissan 350Z. I finished 3rd in D3 and in the second race I forced to retire while leading after a lapped car hit me, Tutumlu explains.
He recognizes that Jerez wont an easy task, because high temperatures wont a help to cope with tires wear. Precisely we struggled with heat in Portugal and this time it looks even worse. So it will be compulsory to race in an intelligent way in order to save tires. If we manage to do that, well keep our options to win alive, mainly in race one, longer than race two. Unfortunately my teammate doesnt know this track and we couldnt test here before, but Autorlando Sport and I have experience there and its a good starting point. Were second in the Spanish championship and the lead in the GT Open is just ten points away, so two good races in Portugal will help us to keep fighting for both titles.
After free practice and qualifying sessions both races are taking place on Saturday and Sunday, at 16.00 (CET) and 12.00 (CET) respectively.Para ms informacin
