GREAT Britain have named their initial 10-man squad for next months Monster Energy FIM Speedway World Cup.Boss Neil Middleditch must select four riders for the GB meeting at Kings Lynn on Monday, July 15.

Theyll face a tough test against Denmark, Sweden and USA with only the group winners going straight through to the final in Prague.The second and third placed teams will head to the race-off, also in Prague, on July 18.Theres no Scott Nicholls in the squad after the British title record holder announced his retirement from GB actionand theres plenty of youngsters who have never appeared in the World Cup.Said Middleditch: Id say Tai Woffinden and Chris Harris are the automatic choices right nowso you could say its two from eight to make the meeting at Kings Lynn.Im keeping a close eye on Woffys fitness, I know hes riding but his collarbone injury is a worry.The likes of Craig Cook, Richie Worrall, Josh Auty and Kyle Howarth have never appeared in the World Cup but their recent form has warranted inclusion in the squad.Ill be watching their form before I have to make a final decision in a couple of weeks.Tai Woffinden (Wolverhampton), Chris Harris (Birmingham), Edward Kennett (Swindon / Berwick), Danny King (Birmingham), Craig Cook (Belle Vue / Edinburgh), Richie Worrall (Kings Lynn / Newcastle), Lewis Bridger (Lakeside), Josh Auty (Birmingham / Scunthorpe), Ben Barker (Birmingham / Ipswich), Kyle Howarth (Workington).
