Crash for Joe Collier at Knockhill

After his stunning race win at Donington Park a few weeks ago Joe Collier riding on the Team Haribo Starmix Triumph had a disappointing weekend at Knockhill race circuit after a crash on the first lap of the scheduled 22-lap race saw his weekend come to a quick halt.

Joe Collier - "I'm so disappointed about the weekend as I felt really happy and comfortable on the Triumph throughout the weekend and my times were pretty good, after Donington I was really looking forward to the race.

We made some changes on the bike over the weekend and it seemed to be working well in the dry and wet conditions and I was keen to get into the race and try and get another result, maybe I was a little too keen.

I got a good start and away with the front pack on the opening lap and then disaster struck going into the Hairpin, I over shot my braking point and despite all my efforts trying to bring the bike to a stop I crashed out and sadly took Cal Cooper with me. I want to apologise to Callum, it's certainly something I didn't mean to do and I'm not proud of.

I hope I can get things back on track at the future round and start getting the results again, I'm so disappointed and know it's my own fault but obviously want to make amends at future races."
