Roger Orgee Castle Combe Formula Ford review

What a corker!

Formula Ford championship contender and Ridgemill driver, Roger Orgee (jnr) put his previous woes behind him at Combe on Sunday where he qualified third with a one minute eleven second lap, equalling his best ever.

Just before the race it rained heavily and at the start Rogers car got bogged down in a puddle and he went backwards down to seventh. As the race progressed Roger moved quickly up to fourth place but then got stuck behind his team mate. Roger tried every which way to overtake right up to lap ten when he finally got past going into the Esses.

Once past Rogers lap times improved by four seconds a lap, posting five purple (fastest) laps in succession. Roger brought the race alive by making up a twenty second deficit in just five laps, but he needed just one more lap to get second place from championship leader Steven Jensen.

The race results show we posted the fastest lap, two seconds quicker than anyone else, including the race winner.

NEXT MEETING JULY 13th and 14th . Come and join us on either day, its looking good.
