Speedway, Howarth gets late U21 call
GREAT Britain star Kyle Howarth has been named as one of the two wild cards for Saturdays opening round of the World Under-21 Final in Pila, Poland. The Workington rider was unlucky not to qualify for the series outright after finishing fifth in his semi-final at Lonigo, but with only four riders going through and five from the other two semi-finals, the FIM have voted in his favour and given him a late call-up for the first of the three meeting series.British Under-21 co-boss Phil Morris said: It's a fair decision based on his finishing position in the semi-final and Saturdays meeting will be great experience for him. He's delighted to take his place and will be looking to finish as high as he can.
