Facu Regalia ready to race in Silverstone GP3

The Argentinean driver, who was in Argentina last week, is back in Europe and ready for the next GP3 race, a series in which he took his first podium two weeks ago in Valencia.  He finished second in race one behind his teammate at ART Grand Prix Conor Daly

Despite a high-profile competitive field of drivers all eying a move towards F1, the Argentine driver is relishing a return to Silverstone, a track where he made his debut in GP3 last year with the old car, not the current Dallara GP3/13. Regalia was second in the collective GP3 test held there two months ago.

We had a busy agenda in Argentina, with important meetings and interviews with Argentine media. I felt how my country is backing me when I attended the Super TC 2000 event and many fans were cheering me. I was quite close to win in Valencia, so I want to be on top once again in Great Britain, and we know how quick we are because our pre-season test there was quite good, Regalia explained. Our podium in Valencia proved to be rewarding, after our tires problems in Barcelona. Now Im looking forward to competing at Silverstone, because I like it and I cant wait to start working with my engineer on track. Were eying podium places again. Weather could play an important part because it could become quite changeable, so our car needs to be competitive both in dry and wet conditions, Regalia said before leaving to England.

Free practice session is taking place today, with qualifying session at 09.45 (CET) on Saturday. Race one is due to start the same day at 17.20 (CET), and race two on Sunday at 09.25 (CET). Pirelli is using for the first time a new super-hard tire compound at Silverstone.
