COMPANY TEAMS GO HEAD-TO-HEAD TO RAISE MONEY FOR SPINAL CORD INJURY CHARITY WINGS FOR LIFE

Last night at the Royal Automobile Club Infiniti Red Bull Racing Team Principal Christian Horner joined the competitors taking part in the Wings for Life Formula One Challenge.

The Wings for Life Formula One Challenge sees company teams race to raise as much money as possible for spinal research and receive rewards from Infiniti Red Bull Racing in returnkicking off last night with a launch event attended by Horner and guests.

Over the next four months Rexam Beverage Can Europe Ltd and Rapid Engineering Supplies Ltd will go head-to-head in the Wings for Life Formula One Challenge. Their rewards will depend on the amount they raise and include the chance to have an Infiniti Red Bull Racing static car in their workplace and a behind-the-scenes tour of the Infiniti Red Bull Racing factory.

Invited to talk to share his thoughts on the recipe for creating a winning team, Horner shared a few tips on teamwork with the competitors:"When it comes down to it, it's not just about being the driver who's first past the chequered flag - it's about the whole team. At Infiniti Red Bull Racing we've been successful because we've worked as a group. Good communication has always been critical and every detailcounts."

The winners of the challenge will be given a driving session in the Infiniti Red Bull Racing simulator with guidance from a team expert. Keen to be crowned the top fundraising team, Neil Simpkins Managing Director from Rapid Engineering Supplies said: Christian shared wise words tonight about being motivated and working as a team. Wings for Life has inspired us to work together for a great cause, in turn building the morale andmotivation at Rapid Engineering. With that, we hope well win this competition! 100% of the money raised by the teams will go directly to world-class spinal cord injury around the world as the primary corporate partner of Wings for Life, Red Bull Company Ltd, pay the charitys overhead costs.
