Citroen celebrates 20 years of the Goodwoos Festival Of Speed

Citroen has been part of every Festival of Speed since it began in 1993To celebrate the 20th Anniversary, Mikko Hirvonen will be putting his DS3 WRC through its pacesNew Citroen C4 Picasso makes its UK Public PremiereDS-line is main attraction on Citrons stand with a competition to win a DS3 CabrioMoving Motor Show test drives in DS3 Cabrio, DS3 THP 155, DS4 THP 200 & DS5 Hybrid4To celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Goodwood Festival of Speed - and Citroens participation every year since it began in 1993 - the Citroen Total Abu Dhabi World Rally Team returns this year with Mikko Hirvonen and his mighty 300bhp DS3 WRC. Citroen Racing will be running the rally car up the Hill Climb as well as the Rally Forest Stage on all three days of the festival.Hirvonen joined the Citroen Racing Team for the 2012 season when he finished second in the World Rally Championship. The Finn contributed to Citroens eighth WRC Manufacturers title achieving 10 podium finishes and one win at Rally Sardinia. Hirvonen will be appearing throughout the festival to sign autographs on the Citron stand.There will also be a replica of Hirvonens DS3 WRC car on the Citroen show stand alongside a DS3 R3 as driven by 21-year old James Grint in the British Rally Championship.Citroens showcase at the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed also includes the UK public premiere for the New C4 Picasso. Reaffirming Citrons expertise in MPV design, the New C4 Picasso makes its UK show debut ahead of the official launch at the end of July. Taking advantage of Citrons new modular EMP2 platform, the stylish New C4 Picasso sets new benchmarks for the segment by offering a longer wheelbase and increased cabin space compared to its predecessor, yet with more compact external dimensions. The new-generation C4 Picasso also boasts sub-100g/km CO2 emissions. The e-HDi 90 Airdream ETG6 VTR+ version emits just 98g/km with fuel economy of up to 74mpg.New Citroen C4 Picasso will be prominently displayed at the Moving Motor Show paddock alongside New C3 and the Citroen C1 - demonstrating the broad appeal of the Citroen C-line.The distinctively styled DS models will take centre stage on the main Citroen stand with the newly launched DS3 Cabrio headlining in an engaging and interactive display. DS3 Cabrio boasts all the hallmarks that have made Citroens DS3 hatchback such a success with UK buyers - bold styling, sophisticated refinement, extensive personalisation and a thoroughly enjoyable driving experience - combined with the pleasure of al-fresco motoring. Visitors to the stand will be in with the chance of winning a DS3 Cabrio in a competition running throughout the four day event.DS3 Cabrio will be joined by Citroens other awarding-winning DS-line models - DS5, DS4 and DS3 hatchback, which was recently crowned king of the superminis in the 2013 What Car? JD Power survey. There will also be a few surprises in store.In Goodwoods Moving Motor Show, members of the public will be able to get behind the wheel of DS3 Cabrio, DS3 DSport THP 155, DS4 DSport THP 200 and DS5 Hybrid4 200, ascending the famous Hill Climb on Thursday 11 July.The Goodwood Festival of Speed takes place from 11-14 July.
