Samsung Honda on the hunt for podiums at Snetterton

Samsung Honda is targeting podium success this weekend at the fifth round of the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship at Snetterton in Norfolka track that has proved to be a happy hunting ground for the team in past seasons.Alex Lowes scored six consecutive podium finishes in the opening three rounds of the 2013 championship, while last time out at Knockhill, it was team-mate Ryuichi Kiyonari who scored a double rostrum for Samsung Honda. Both riders are determined to notch up more podium credits this weekend in their fight for the title.Following a successful test at the Norfolk circuit last week, Jason OHalloran is in high spirits ahead of this weekends Motorpoint British Supersport Championship races. The Australian rider took the Superstock race win at Snetterton last year and will be aiming to add more victories to his tally at the weekend, this time aboard his Honda CBR600RR Supersport machine.Havier BeltranTeam Manager Snetterton is a round we are all excited about as a team; since the circuit was redeveloped it really is a favourite on the calendar now with riders as well as fans. We had a good test session there last week and all three riders were happy with the direction. We now need to build on that and continue to move forward in both the Superbike and Supersport Championships.Ryuichi Kiyonari At Knockhill I was much happier, I was able to push and although it wasnt a win, it was better for me and for the team. I come to Snetterton feeling more confident because we have tested at the track and also because of our improvements we made before Knockhill. Snetterton has been a good track for me before; this was the last track that I won at in this Championship so Ill be pushing as hard as ever.Alex Lowes The season has been going well so far and Im enjoying racing more than ever at the moment. The Samsung Honda guys have all been working hard and we had a positive test last week which means we can arrive for the race ready to go. I made a mistake at Knockhill but we got a fourth place in the second race and if that is classed as a bad weekend I will take that, because Knockhill has always been my bogey circuit. I am feeling good, the team is working well and hopefully we can move forward and fight for the wins.Jason OHalloran Snetterton has been a good track for me in the past; we won the Superstock race last year and I am hoping that this weekend we can have two solid races and reward the team for their hard work so far this season. We had a decent test and realistically this should be a good event for us as we want to turn things around after some bad luck at Knockhill.
