Italian GT debut for Tutumlu and Barzani

Isaac Tutumlu and Barzani Racing Team will take part in the Campionato Italiano Gran Turismo next weekend, their debut for both in this extremely competitive Italian GT championship.

Tutumlu and Barzani are eying to continue with their successful season, its worth mentioning that they have already won and finished on podium several times, and the driver with Kurdish heritage will drive an Autorlando Porsche 997 GT3 R racing under Barzani Racing Team banner once again. This time Tutumlu is going to have a new teammate, Antonio Spavone.

Its a nice opportunity for us, making our debut in this series. I was told its a very competitive championship, with a high and professional profile both manufacturers and drivers. There are brands such as Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, BMW or Audi participating, and long-term committed drivers to GT racing. Every car uses GT3-specs as well, Tutumlu explained.

Mugello is a sort of iconic place for motorsport, both for cars and motorbikes. It has a long straight and, despite Ive haven raced there before, I dont think it will be a problem. Ill be teaming with a new driver, Antonio Spavone, a young ace with experience in GP3 and AutoGP, so our driver line-up is pretty competitive for trying to win. Weve a new Intl GT Open round next week, so this Italian round will be a very demanding rehearsal for Silverstone.

For Mugello there are two free practice sessions on Saturday, with both qualifying sessions taking place in the afternoon. The races (2) will start at 11.30 (CET) and 17.20 (CET) on Sunday, consisting of fifty minutes each.
