Auto GP teams line-up for testing at Vallelunga

Two Auto GP teams went on-track this week for testing, using the kilometric allowance that every car has according to the rulebook.

Both Euronova Racing and MLR71 lined-up at Vallelunga. Vincenzo Sospiri and his team fielded current championship leader Kimiya Sato, while Michele La Rosa welcomed the debuting Michela Cerruti.

The 26-year-old Rome-born racer has become an icon for all the female racers of Italy as after some successful runs in touringcar and GT competition, she also proved quick in open-wheel racing. Both her and Sato ran for two days while Dutchman Meindert van Buuren joined them for one session.

The MP Motorsport driver was borrowed to MLR71 while the Rotterdam-based team were travelling from Silverstone to the Nurburgring. He replaced team-mate Riccardo Agostini, who was initially slotted to test at Vallelunga too.

The Auto GP championship will be back next weekend at Mugello for the 5th round of the 2013 season.
