Festival Of 1000 Bikes Past Masters

If you like motorcycle racing then the Past Masters sessions at the Festival of 1000 Bikes at Mallory Park on Sunday, July 14th are not to be missed. And you can still buy advance tickets before Tuesday 9th July.

With some of the biggest name in the sport from the last decades as well as the most mouth-watering machinery, it is a treat for any motorcycle race fan to witness this event. Details run below:

SESSION 1 ON TRACK 1.25pm?Older pre & post war machines including special Brooklands feature showcasing 15 machines used in competition at the famous banked circuit in the years before the War. Also showcased are some the machines & riders from the VMCC racing operation "British Historic Racing"

SESSION 2 ON TRACK 1.35pm?A mixture of 2 & 4 Stroke machines from the post war period featuring names like Cooper, Redman & Rutter. Courtesy of Phil Morris Racing Honda RC163 or replica four cylinder machines take to the track with some very special riders on board including John McGuinness on the ex Tommy Robb Honda RC163.

SESSION 3 ON TRACK 1.50pm?Norton Rotary Race Machines. Genuine ex works Rotary Race bikes piloted by their original works riders. One of the most popular features of the event courtesy of the National Motorcycle Museum and with the technical assistance of Brian Crighton featuring names like Nation, Spray & Rymer. Not only this but session 3 will also be the "best of the British Championships" featuring old rivals the Loctite Yamaha's pitted against the old adversaries the Norton Rotaries. Loctite Yamaha featured riders will include the track return of Rob McElnea! But there's more! The new Crighton CR700P rotary race machine will be making its debut appearance out on track in the hands of none other than multiple British Champion Jamie Whitham!

SESSION 4 ON TRACK 2.00pm?Wayne Gardner (In association with Michelin). Courtesy of Michelin 1987 500cc World Champion Wayne Gardner will perform solo laps on a genuine works Honda RS500.

SESSION 5 ON TRACK 2.05pm?Foggy & Whitham-Double trouble!?Foggy & Whitham back together on track just like the old days! You've seen the talk show, now the talking's over! The Bikes- Foggy- 1995 Works 916 (ex Foggy). Whitham-WSS 600 Belgarda Yamaha (ex Whitham).

SESSION 6 (Grid start)?GRID INTERVIEWS 2.10pm?For the first time the final Past Masters track session featuring all the superstar riders will take place with a grid start. Prior to the start there will be live "on the grid" interviews broadcast over the P/A system with many of the World Champions who will be on track.ON TRACK 2.20pmSession 6 features the bigger/faster stuff-a session full of star riders including Gardner, Fogarty, Sarron, McGuinness, Whitham & many, many more!

You can still save money on advance tickets until Tuesday 9th July. Prices in advance are 10 for camping, 18 for Saturday 13th July, 22 for Sunday 14th July and weekend ticket is 35. In addition there is a Friday ticket from noon onwards for entertainment, payable on the gate at 6.
