SBD Motorsport MSA British Sprint Championship

Rounds 9 & 10: Kirkistown, 6-7 July

Colin Calder scored maximum points at Kirkistown to take the championship lead from Terry Holmes, who was sidelined on the first day with transmission woes.

An engine detonated on Saturday prior to the scheduled run-off, with the resulting oil spillage bringing the day to a premature end. Then on Sunday a series of incidents meant that the curfew was invoked. This left the points to be distributed according to the qualifying times, with Calder on top each day.
