Richard Gonda leads Copa class heading to Silverstone F3 Open

The second half of 2013 season starts for the European F3 Open at Silverstone. After eight races at Paul Ricard, Portimao, Nrburgring, Richard Gonda and Drivex lead the Copa classification in this competitive and closely-fought European championship.

Gonda and Drivex have grabbed four wins, and other two second and third places so far, a performance truly outstanding that driver and team want to continue in Great Britain. The event at Silverstone is going to be a difficult one because it will be the maiden F3 Open meeting on this circuit, so everyone at Drivex will have to try his best. Gonda has fifty-four points, twelve ahead of his closest rival, and he has a good margin to manage this weekend. Anyway the young Slovakian driver and his team are eying podium places because a good result there will be important to approach the end of the season with good title chances.

Both qualifying sessions precede the races, race one is scheduled today at four oclock and then race two on Sunday at two oclock.

Richard Gonda: After a break of three weeks, we start second half of season now. We have a good lead, some points ahead of my rivals in the Copa classification. But it isnt important right now and we need to focus on this weekends races. Silverstone is a great track but really difficult for a driver, because youve no room for mistakes. We need to make progress since our first outing on track. I hope everything works OK and in this way to score as many points as possible. Im always looking forward to racing with Drivex and this time isnt an exception"
