Steady Weekend for Collier at Brands Superstock

Joe Collier racing for the Team Haribo Starmix Triumph team was forced to miss Snetterton but made his return to the Brands Hatch GP circuit in the Pirelli National Superstock 600 class. In the scheduled 12-lap race the youngster finished in 11th place.

It was a difficult return to the Championship for the 18-year-old as he struggled throughout the weekend to find the set-up he wanted on the Triumph, qualifying in ninth place.

Joe Collier - "It's been a really hard weekend here at Brands Hatch and it's always been a circuit in the past I have been strong at so I'm really disappointed not to get a good result here.

I missed Snetterton so I've not been on the bike for a month but I was just really struggling to find a set up. The top end speed on the bike was awesome but getting the Triumph out of the corners was really difficult, so in the race when I was behind people I'd be braking late just to ensure that I could try and get the drive out of the turns.

It was really hard and I was unable to stay with the riders in front of me as my speed wouldn't allow it. I want to try and find some positives but it's been hard here today and really hope things will take a turn for the better at Oulton, it's been a strange season so far for me and hopefully we can turn things around there and be back up at the sharp end of the pack and battling for a podium."
