Motorbase Performance welcomes Drift Innovation on-board

Motorbase Performance has announced a new partnership with leading action sports technology company Drift Innovation. The new deal will see Drift supply specialist state of the art technology and media support for all Motorbase-run cars competing in the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship and Avon Tyres British GT Championship for the 2013 season.

A leading sports technology company specialising in the capture and sharing of digital imagery across all platforms; Drift design and manufacture innovative, intuitive products, combining both users needs and state of the art technology.  The British-based company manufacture quality cameras and accessories, inspiring action sports enthusiasts and like-minded individuals to document their experiences, capture the emotion and share their vision.

Commenting on the new partnership, Robin Parker, Drift Innovation founder said; Our association with world class athletes in each of DRIFTS credo sports, combined with input from our everyday enthusiasts, provides a continual source of constructive feedback that we use to ensure that our products stand up to the most extreme situations.

The partnership with Motorbase Performance is one I am extremely proud of as, in Motorbase, we have found a team that truly perform at the top end of the British motorsports world. The relationship allows us to continually test new features but also showcase why the Drift HD Ghost is the best action camera on the market today. The video quality is second to none. The battery surpasses all others on the market and the remote control and built-in LCD allow their mechanics to make sure they get the shot they want.

We also support the way Motorbase Performance nurture young talent and were lucky enough to have had the pleasure of sponsoring Jake Hill during his recent one race trial and subsequent class win at Croft.

Following recent on-board trials, the Drift HD Ghost camera proved itself to be a vital tool to the Motorbase squad; allowing the team to study on board footage alongside its data whilst offering a unique perspective and rare glimpse behind the scenes to motorsport fans and viewers.

David Bartrum, Motorbase Performance Team Principal added: The Drift HD Ghost is a great little camera; we were all really impressed with the quality of the on-board footage from the initial trials and the technical and media support and back up from Robin and his team has also been superb.

Were always looking for new ways to offer something different and more engaging to our fans and sponsors and our new partnership with Drift gives us the perfect opportunity to expand into new areas and increase the teams exposure to a new fan base.  We are delighted to welcome Drift to the Motorbase Performance squad and look forward to long and successful partnership.

The recently launched Drift HD Ghost builds on a unique feature set, which includes an industry-first two-way LED remote control with on/off indicator light, video recording/tagging capabilities in continuous loop mode, and an integrated two-inch Corning Gorilla Glass LCD screen. An all-in-one solution, the HD Ghost will catch everything from breakaways to crashes and victories. The recent Drift HD Ghost on-board films featuring the Motorbase Performance Ford Focus ST next generation touring cars and Porsche 911 GT3R can be viewed online on the Motorbase Performance YouTube channel.

Motorbase Performance will be back in action with the Airwaves Racing and Addison Lee Motorbase teams for round 6 of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship at Norfolks Snetterton 300 circuit this coming weekend August 3/4. The Oman Air Motorbase squad is set to continue the defence of its Avon Tyres British GT Championship title at its home track, Brands Hatch on August 10/11.
