10th Birthday

July 31 marked the date that P1 celebrated its 10th anniversary that has seen the powerboat promoter running high impact Grand Prix of the Sea events around the globe, wowing audiences, crowning champions and rewriting the Powerboat racing record books. The P1 events team certainly has something to celebrate this summer.

P1 has successfully carved a new-style wake through the powerboat racing industry over this period, making waves and setting a new standard for offshore powerboat racing events... and there are no plans for it to stop here. Over the last decade P1 has delivered 85 world Championship races in 12 different countries, across 4 continents, launched a new format of entry level powerboat racing, one that has the one-design Panther race boat at its heart to provide affordability and accessibility.

This unique racing combination caters for career progression for drivers and navigators and is available for take-up in any country wishing to host and run a Championship as a unique business franchise. These features have made P1 SuperStock the fastest growing marine motorsport series in the world.

Now in its fourth season, P1 SuperStock has run Grand Prix of the Sea events both in the UK and the USA, enjoyed by hundreds and thousands of spectators and millions of television viewers. P1 has also successfully launched the AquaX jet ski race series in the UK and USA catering for both amateur and experienced jet ski racers. Both Championships are set to expand into new markets in 2014.

It's been an exciting and successful 10 years, and for P1 the journey has only just begun - we look forward to the next decade
