At the inaugural event of the Audi R8 LMS Cup at Inje, South Korea, Earl Bamber made a strong showing.

The New Zealander clinched the pole position and at round five of the season commandingly won ahead of Adderly Fong (China) and Marchy Lee (HongKong).

The former Formula 1 driver Alex Yoong from Malaysia after a spin in qualifying had to skip the first heat of the popular Audi one-make cup and lost his lead of the standings.

In the second race on the roller-coaster track at Inje, Marchy Lee triumphed in front of Adderly Fong, Cong Fu Cheng and Alex Yoong.

Adderly Fong is traveling to the fourth race weekend at Sepang as the new Championship leader with a 14-point advantage.
