Auto GP has announced the arrival of a new team in the series from the next round, scheduled for the 18th of August at the Nurburgring. The Coloni-promoted championship will welcome Comtec Racing, a British-based squad founded in 2002. The team has so far raced in the Formula Renault 3.5 championship where they won the 2006 drivers' title with Alx Danielsson. In the last few months, Comtec Racing and Virtuosi UK formed a partnership to help young drivers to grow up as sportsmen and that collaboration will reach its next step with the debut of Comtec in a 2-week time.The two teams will provide each other with mutual support, on this occasion, the team will be fielded as Comtec Virtuosi. Their 550 horsepower racecar will be driven by Antonio La Rocca, a young Venezuelan driver born on the 9th of July, 1991.
