PBM Team To Star In NYRRSC Chat Show

Britain's top motorcycle racing team, Paul Bird Motorsport, will be heading for Northallerton in North Yorkshire in force later this month to take part in the annual 'Night With The Stars' chat show organised by the North Yorkshire Road Racing Supporters Club.

The event, which is to be held at the Golden Lion Hotel, High Street, Northallerton on the evening of Tuesday 27th August will feature both the Rapid Solicitors Kawasaki British Superbike pair of Shane 'Shakey' Byrne and Keith Farmer as well as PBM MotoGP riders Yonny Hernandez and Michael Laverty and is sure to attract a bumper crowd to the venue.

Defending champion Byrne leads this year's MCE Insurance BSB title chase and along with reigning Pirelli Superstock 1000 champion Farmer, will make the trip from the previous day's bank holiday Monday action at Cadwell Park where a 50,000 crowd is expected.

Colombian Hernandez and Ulsterman Laverty will have just returned from this forthcoming weekend's Indianapolis Grand Prix and make the visit to Northallerton en route to Silverstone for the British GP later that week.

Team owner Paul Bird, who is a leading contender in this year's MSA National Rally Championship in his Ford Focus WRC will also be in attendance whereby some additional high-profile guests are hoping to be added to the line up so check www.nyrrsc.net for the latest details.

Team Owner Paul Bird said:  "The NYRRSC does a fantastic job in helping raise funds for local racers so we are only too pleased to come along and support them. We do very little in the way of these types of functions but this is one event we have promised to support as a whole team and to have a bit of fun so hopefully there'll be a good turnout on the night."

The evening gets underway at 8pm and admission costs just 5.00 per person (4.00 for NYRRSC members) and as well as the chat show, there is a bar, raffle and auction for memorabilia.
