Seb Morris Seeking F4 Championship Lead On Silverstone GP Return

British Racing Drivers Club Rising Star Seb Morris is relishing the prospect of returning to action at Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit this coming weekend, 17th/18th August, as he bids to move back to the top of the BRDC Formula 4 Championship standingsand claim his maiden race victory of 2013.As the most consistent driver in the high-profile single-seater category, the Marford-based teenager is currently second in the title race, just 16 points shy of the series lead, with a tally of six podiums to his credit.Although a first F4 win has so far eluded the 17-year-old, Seb has been a front-running threat throughout the first five race meetings and he believes the recent progress made with his Hillspeed car will reap rewards on the championships return to Northamptonshire a few days from now.Silverstones world-famous 3.66-mile Grand Prix Circuit proved a very happy hunting ground for the Ginetta Ambassador at the beginning of the inaugural F4 season back in April, Seb taking a hat-trick of memorable podium results to claim the early initiative in the championship fight.Added to that, during the most recent event at Brands Hatch Grand Prix Circuit a fortnight ago, the Abbey Gate College student was the happiest hes been all year with the pace of his MSV F4-013 car, leading to even greater confidence ahead of rounds 16, 17 and 18.Im looking forward to Silverstone immensely, said the Welshman, The car has moved on massively since the start of the season so were feeling really confident ahead of next weekend, especially as we went so well at Silverstone at the first round.Considering we started the opening weekend eighth on the grid for the first race and still came away with two seconds and a third, Im quite excited to see what we can do this time. We need to get some points back and the aim is definitely to try and take the championship lead and get our first winits been a long time coming. If we qualify better than we have been, the wins will come.

As well as his six podium finishes in F4, comprising three runner-up results and a trio of third places, the 2011 Ginetta Junior Champion and 2012 Protyre Formula Renault Winter Series Champion has scored in all but one race. His seasons tally also includes four other top four finishes.Silverstone GP Circuit qualifying will get underway at 10.30 on Saturday, 17th August, with round 16 following at 14.40. On Sunday, 18th August, rounds 17 and 18 are scheduled to take place at 11.20 and 15.40 respectively.
