Halsall Racing Hoping To Impress Again At Cadwell Park BSB

The Halsall Racing Kawasaki team is looking to build on its success at Oulton Park a fortnight ago as the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship heads to Cadwell Park for round eight this coming weekend, August 24-26, 2013.

Tommy Bridewell of Devizes, Wiltshire is preparing for his second outing with the Bolton-based outfit, and is hoping to pick up where he left off last time out when he scored two fifths and a fourth at Oulton Park. Fresh from celebrating his engagement to girlfriend Stacey, Bridewell is hoping to continue the momentum as the series arrives in Lincolnshire for the Bank Holiday Monday spectacular.

Meanwhile, team-mate Lee Costello is keen to make further progress this weekend. Now feeling fitter and stronger after his crash at Brands Hatch in July, Costello is confident he can pull in his best results of the year at Cadwell Park, and has his eyes on two top ten finishes when the races get underway this weekend.

Tommy Bridewell:  "I'm really looking forward to getting back on the Halsall Racing Kawasaki; hopefully it's going to be a good weekend. Oulton Park was a fantastic weekend for sure and it would be lovely to emulate that success again at Cadwell Park, but of course you have to be realistic. I think two top sixes would be perfect for us but failing that I would still be happy with two top tens. The main thing we need to ensure is that we get a good set-up for qualifying so we can qualify well. After that, the races should almost look after themselves."

Lee Costello:  "I've pretty much forgotten all about Oulton Park now and am just looking forward to getting to Cadwell Park. I've got a new engine in the bike and I'm feeling a lot fitter and stronger now and am excited about the coming weekend. I do like the track; it's one of the best on the calendar even though it's far from easy. My aim is for two top ten finishes, I believe this is where I should be. We've got a really strong team now and I feel really ready to go out and have a good, solid weekend."

Team owner Martin Halsall:  "I'm very excited about going to Cadwell Park, especially after the results we enjoyed at Oulton Park. We've been working on a few things with Lee because we want to keep focussed on bringing him forward and we're confident that Tommy can pick up where he left off. But you're only as good as your last race so we know we have a lot of work to do. We achieved so much at Oulton Park that now we need to get our heads down and work hard to prove that it wasn't just a fluke."
