Lime Rocks Labor Day weekend Historic Festival

Everyone, from the drivers to the fans love the Thursday Vintage & Historic Race Car Parade, which officially kicks-off Lime Rock’s Labor Day weekend Historic Festival.

The Parade is a hundred or more cars that leave Lime Rock Park at 4:00 p.m., then travel a 17-mile route through the towns and villages in the area, ending up at the Welcome Party & Street Fair in Falls Village, about two miles from Lime Rock Park.

Hundreds of people line the route to watch this unique parade of old sports cars and race cars. It’s a wonderful celebration of vintage vehicles, seen how they’re supposed to be seen... driving on the road!

The Street Fair in Falls Village is live music – Wanda Houston, the late Whitney’s cousin, is singing – plus food, ice cream, entertainment and more.

And all the sports cars and race cars are parked in the village for a wonderful, impromptu car show!

If you’re the owner of – or have the keys to! – a 1970 or older sports car or race car ........ be in the Parade.

Join the Thursday Falls Village Vintage & Historic Race Car Parade if you have a car that meets the criteria.

(Please email Jeff Grossbard at jeff@limerock.com with the details of your car.)

Here’s what you do: Drive or trailer your car to Lime Rock’s Main Entrance at 60 White Hollow Road, Lakeville, Conn. 06039, to arrive by 3:00 p.m. You will be directed to line up on Sam Posey Straight, and right at 4:00 p.m., the Parade starts, led by a Lime Rock BMW Pace Car.

This is a lot of fun to both be in and watch!

Call Jeff Grossbard at 860.435.5000 if you have questions about entering the Parade.
