Regalia aiming to take the lead in Spa GP3

Facu Regalia is heading to the next meeting of the GP3 series at Spa.

The ART Grand Prix driver is having an extremely positive season, he took his maiden win at Nurburgring and finished on the podium at Valencia and Silverstone. He is currently second in the overall standings but with the leader, Tio Ellinas , just one point ahead.

“This vacation time was really good to take a rest, because I had chances to spend time with family and friends. But now  I´m already focused on racing, and if I can, I will try to repeat or even improve my past result. I´ve been working recently both mentally and physically just to be ready for my next battle at Spa-Francorchamps, I want to arrive there at 120%. I like Spa-Francorchamps a lot, in fact I guess every driver loves it! Anyway it´s a very demanding and difficult track with technical bends and a small mistake may leave you with no options”, Regalia explained. After several weeks without driving his Dallara GP3/13 he says that “I´m looking forward to driving my car once again. My team, ART Grand Prix, have always been competitive there, so our car should be quite good there. After struggling with tire problems in Barcelona, we managed to counteract Ellinas´ lead, and now I´m second overall. My target is to finish on the podium to see Argentine colors there, and if it´s being first even better. There´re three rounds left, Spa plus Monza and Yas Marina. We´ve to do four good races in Belgium and Italy and in this way keeping alive our options for title in the UAE. We must avoid mistakes because we approach our decisive moment this season”.

As always, there will be a free practice session on Friday, taking place at 17.50. Qualifying session is due to start at 09.45 on Saturday, with race one being started at 17.20. Finally race two is going to be on Sunday at 09.25. Pirelli has chosen its hard compound for this round.
