Team BMW Dinamic shake down new ECU for their BMW M3

Maurizio Lusuardi and his team took no breaks this summer as they lined-up to test new set-up solutions for the coming SUPERSTARS round at Donington Park (August 31-September 1). The team ran at San Martino Del Lago and their cars were driven by Mauro Trentin and Giovanni Berton. The two racers also tried a new ECU in terms of engine management. Berton, who is now fourth in the SUPERSTARS INTERNATIONAL SERIES standings, improved his personal record at the venue, close to Cremona.

"I think we'll have good chances in the UK - told Berton - even though people says that Donington is not going to be a BMW track. But at this point in the season, I'm not trusting anybody's predictions. In Czech Republic and Slovakia we weren't among the favourites but we still won, so I hope to overturn the forecasts once again".

MRT by Nocentini to bring Lexus back at Donington

In addition to Team BMW Dinamic, another SUPERSTARS squad went on-track in torrid weather at Franciacorta as MRT by Nocentini dedicated a full day of testing to their Lexus ISF racecar.

The Japanese-built car logged about 160 kilometers in order to test new set-up solution for next weekend's race in the UK and the results achieved made the Milan-based squad more confident for Donington Park as they rely on the performance of the car's 5-litre 450-hp V8 engine.

Thomas Schoffler aims for 2013 GTSPRINT title

The young German racer, driving for Audi MTM, is lining-up at Donington Park as the leader of the GTSPRINT INTERNATIONAL SERIES, after the two podium finishes shared with home hero Filipe Albuquerque at Portimao. This season, several international stars partnered him on the team's Audi R8 LMS like Laurens Vanthoor, Oliver Mayer, Antii Buri and Albuquerque himself.

“As of now, I couldn't be happier with this 2013 season - told Schöffler - the R8 is a quick and performing car. In every single occasion, the team did the best in order to make it competitive and chase our opponents. I really like Donington and I'm sure we can be fast there although I'm anxiously waiting for Vallelunga because it has the warmest crowd ever. It's like having an 100-hp boost. I hope to line-up at the final race as the leader and, why not, celebrate the title in Rome!”.
