Mason Daughters, the young development driver for Scott Tucker and Level 5 Motorsports in the USRA B-Mod Series, captured his first Iron Man Challenge victory Thursday night at Valley Speedway.After taking first place in his heat race, Daughters dominated the USRA B-Mod main event, leading 16 of the 20 laps, lapping cars and finishing more than six seconds ahead of the second place car. Adding to the impressive run is the fact that the second and third place cars, which Daughters outran by more than a straightaway Thursday night, are ranked first and second, nationally, in the Iron Man Challenge points standings. In addition, the driver that took home fourth place is the USRA B-Mod Series national points leader.“Mason is facing some stiff competition out there,” said Daughters’ coach, Dustin Boney. “He’s going up against guys that have much more experience in this series. Guys that have been doing it for years. Mason has been doing it less than two months, and he’s making it look easy against the series' best drivers.”Level 5 Motorsports owner, Scott Tucker of Leawood, Kansas, was equally impressed with his young driver’s performance.“Mason has the talent that we look for in young drivers,” Tucker said. “And, we’re very excited to see that talent translating into results. As team owners, we can spot talent and bring in drivers with good potential, but it’s up to the drivers themselves to turn that potential into reality, and Mason is certainly doing that.”Sixteen-year-old Mason Daughters is the newest addition to the Level 5 Motorsports team roster, and the young driver is already emerging as a star in the USRA B-Mod Series. After switching from the karting ranks just over a month ago, the talented teenager now has two major victories in less than two months of racing. Daughters’ Iron Man Challenge victory Thursday night comes quickly on the heels of his first USRA B-Mod Series victory, which he captured in July at US 36 Raceway in only his 18th start.

Scott Tucker and Level 5 Motorsports are quickly developing a reputation for success with their youth development initiative.
