Malaysia hosts the fifth and sixth race of the 2013 Ferrari Challenge Asia Pacific, making the first time this event is held twice in Malaysia. The green flag is set to drop on August 31st and September 15th at Sepang International Circuit.
The 2013 season of the Ferrari Challenge Asia Pacific series kicked off this year in Abu Dhabi, UAE in March, with subsequent races held in Suzuka, Japan in April and Shanghai, China in June, Inje, Korea in August whereby the fifth and sixth race would be held in Sepang, Malaysia before the Grand Finale to be taken place in Mugello, Italy this coming November.In the Trofeo Pirelli class, Ringo Chong is in the leading position from practice , while the times are quite close to Pasin Lathouras, who took the first win in last years race in Sepang. We are continuingly looking forward to see the competition between Keita Sawa and Max Blancardi from International classification. Francis Hideki Onda and Jacky Young obtained the first place from last year R1 & R2, and their times were very close from practice this round.
Each category will take part in two races together with track action span across three days starting with one day for Open Practice and Free Practice, following with the Qualifying Practice which leads to the real race day which falls on August 31st and September 15th respectively.
