Maximum Consistency Robertson's Target For Snetterton F4

Charlie Robertson says he wants nothing less than a hat-trick of consistent podium finishes when the BRDC Formula 4 Championship resumes next weekend, 7th/8th September, at Snetterton 300 Circuit for the penultimate three rounds of the season. In what has been an excellent first season of single-seater racing for the teenage Scotsman, the 2012 Ginetta Junior Champion has made no less than seven podium visits, including one win from the biggest race meeting of the seasonthe DTM supporting event at Brands Hatch in May.

The one-time leader of the BRDC Formula 4 Championship was also recently invited to become a British Racing Drivers Club Rising Star, following in the wheeltracks of a long line of some of the UKs premier motorsport talent.

Although a couple of non-finishes have impacted his placing in the driver standings in recent events, Charlie currently holds sixth position, the 16-year-old has been one of the star performers across the season as a whole.Im going all out for podiums and wins at Snetterton, said a confident Charlie, We need as many points as we possibly can to try and close back in on the top three in the championship. Ive just got to focus on that and then see where we are at the end of the weekend.

Unfortunately we have lost a lot of ground to the others through things which have been out of our control this year. Hopefully we can have a trouble-free weekend, though, and show what we know were capable of.The HHC Motorsport driver has actually taken the chequered flag twice this year as a race winner, his second victory coming during the previous trip to Snetterton in June. However, a contentious judicial decision relating to the way a gurney flap on the rear wing of his car was mountedoffering no performance advantage whatsoeverresulted in Charlie being harshly stripped of the win. With that in mind, the Surrey racer is determined to make amends and knowing he had the pace to win at the Norfolk track gives him heightened confidence as he strives for a return to the top step of the podium next weekend. We know weve got a quick car at Snetterton, and I like the track, so if everything goes smoothly in qualifying Im sure well be able to challenge at the front, said the Investigo-backed racer, Weve only got six races left, but there are still a lot of points to be won and lost.Snetterton qualifying is provisionally timetabled to take place on Saturday, 7th September, at 10.30 with round 19 getting underway at 14.40. Rounds 20 and 21 will follow on Sunday, 8th September, at 11.15 and 14.45 respectively.Provisional 2013 BRDC Formula 4 Championship Standings (after Rd18):6th Charlie Robertson, 268pts
