Lee Dell Rochdale September 8thRideoffroadUK head to Lee Dell Rochdale for the fourth round of the Putoline supported 4-Hour Series on Sunday September 8th. The hilltop course at Lee Dell will start in the usual place with a reverse direction track from previous visits. The hidden valley will play host to most of the track including bridges over the stream, small woodland sections, as well as the good fast open going which Lee Dell has to offer. Already we have had an influx of team entries from riders wishing to compete with their mates in the 2 man team classes.The day starts with the Putoline 2 hour Youth event which caters for Youth Solo riders. After a short break for the Presentation and results of the Youth event, it will be the turn of the Adults to start the marathon Putoline 4 hour event. A Le Mans style start will see riders running a short distance before leaping onto bikes and ripping down the start straight.Team riders can ride on their own machine or share one bike, both riders on the same race number. Next to the pits area is a "Change Over" area where one rider waits for his team mate to come in and "tag" him so he can then go out on track. This allows riders to take a well-earned break and cheer on their partner, or make vital repairs and adjustments while their team mate is out clocking up the laps.Solo Ironman riders simply start and ride solo for the full 4 hours...are you strong enough for the Putoline 4 hour challenge?
