STOCKHOLM STAR NILSSON'S WILD NIGHT.

Swedish young gun Kim Nilsson is set for the biggest night of his career when he makes his full World Championship debut in the Rockklassiker Scandinavian FIM Speedway Grand Prix at Stockholm’s stunning Friends Arena on September 21.

It will be a huge night for Nilsson and all the Grand Prix riders as the SGP series makes a welcome return to the Swedish capital for the first time since 2004.

Thousands of fans will pack into the state-of-the-art Friends Arena and it will be a proud moment for Nilsson when he puts on the coveted No.16 race jacket .

The 23-year-old lives in Haninge in the south-eastern suburbs of Stockholm and races for Vargarna in the Swedish Elitserien alongside world No.2 Nicki Pedersen. Nilsson also competes for Rospiggarna in the Swedish Allsvenskan League and Eastbourne in the British Elite League.

He is joined in the Friends Arena by track reserves Fredrik Engman and Oliver Berntzon. Engman capped a sensational season at reserve for Elitserien-topping Piraterna by being crowned Swedish Under-21 champion at Vetlanda on Saturday. He lines up in the No.17 race jacket in Stockholm.

Berntzon has starred for Smederna in the Elitserien, aiding their charge into tonight’s Swedish league title play-off semi-finals. He wears No.18.

The referee for the event is Craig Ackroyd from Great Britain.
