Richard Burns Foundation is the nominated charity for Goodwood Revival

The Foundation thanks Lord March & his team, Rolex, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Scalextric, Paddy Hopkirk, Marino Franchitti, Mini Sport and its wonderful volunteers in anticipation of their support for the forthcoming RevivalAs the official charitable partner of Goodwood Motorsport, assisting with the administration and management of a wide range of charitable causes that benefit from the generosity of the great British public and the companies that are associated with the Festival of Speed and the Revival, it is the turn of the Richard Burns Foundation to be the official beneficiary of donations and charitable contributions at the forthcoming Revival. As one of the jewels in the UK’s motorsport calendar, the Foundation is indebted to Lord March for the nomination to receive the wide and various donations that are traditionally made. Funds raised will form the backbone of the charity’s mission to launch its first Brain Bus, a mobile specialist neurological facility that will provide much-needed walk-in services at hospitals. The Brain Bus will provide pre and post diagnosis support for a wide range of neurological conditions from head injury to illness in association with the Brain & Spine Foundation.RBF has managed Goodwood’s motorsport charitable collections with its army of volunteers and provided treasury & administration, most recently collecting over £45,000 of donations on behalf of the Kent Surrey Sussex Air Ambulance at this summer’s Festival of Speed. At the Revival, the Foundation itself will be the primary recipient of donations generously made by the event sponsor, Rolex, and has also received wide-ranging support from many other companies and individuals. Automobili Lamborghini have donated one of its acclaimed Esperienza Days for auction at the Revival Dinner, providing an opportunity for a bidder to spend a day behind the wheel and receive instruction to drive an array of the Bolognese supercars.Aston Martin have also generously provided merchandise for the RBF raffle, Scalextric have faithfully reproduced a period scale race track and Foundation Patron and renowned GT racer, Marino Franchitti will be the first professional racer to set a benchmark laptime for the public to contest on the RBF stand. The fastest competitor each day will win a Scalextric set to take home. The stand itself will be graced with the period presence of the fabled no.37 Hopkirk Mini, the victor of the 1964 Monte Carlo Rally, kindly provided by Mini Sport. With an array of activity and personalities on its stand at the Revival and extensive support, the Foundation could not achieve its donation goals and progress its Brain Bus objectives without the tireless support of 250 ardent volunteers that will be helping manage collections for the three days of the forthcoming event. The Richard Burns Foundation can be found close to Goodwood Circuit Shop & The Great Train Robbery between gates 1 & 2. Donation points will be across the Revival site, at all entry and exit points and we look forward to seeing you there.
