Trident Racing rounded out the ninth race meeting of the 2013 GP2 Series with Nanthanael Berthon ending up in 21st in Race 2 and Sergio Campana finishing three more spots back in 24th. The team's performance was conditioned by a contact between the two drivers. Campana ended up spinning, while Berthon was assessed a drive-through by the stewards. With the completion of the championship weekend at Monza, the GP2 Series will be back on-track in two weeks at the Singapore street circuit. The sensational frame provided by the venue will welcome Teams and Drivers to an exciting and fascinating night race.Sergio Campana“At the start I made a mistake and stalled my engine in the moments before the lights went off. That made the whole race much more difficult. Then on the second lap I was pulling alongside Berthon but he suddenly moved, pushing me on the grass at the side of the track. I lost control of the car and ended up spinning. Luckily I could avoid the barriers, but the incident ruined my tires and I had to stop for a change. That prevented us from getting some spots back”.Nathanael Berthon“I was off to a good start, and I was sure I would have run a good race. The car was really quick in the technical questions but we were losing ground in terms of top speed. In a normal race it would have been something we could manage, but after the drive-through it became really tough to get some spots back. Regarding what happened with Sergio, of course it's not a pleasing situation but we see these kind of things happen in every race when there are cars battling. In other occasions, when I was in the same position as Sergio, the stewards have not been equally inflexible”.
