Round 4: Santa Pod Raceway, 5-8 September

Bruno Bader achieved a brilliant victory at Santa Pod with the most immaculate Pro Modified performance ever seen in Britain.

Bader’s opening qualifying shot, 6.328sec, was followed by seven consecutive 6.0-second passes en route to a final-round elimination defeat of Robert Joosten.

Bader was not quite the quickest in the all-6-second, 16-car field – Marc Meihuizen clocked the event’s best figures – 5.940sec/242.39mph – in an engine-damaging second round win. Yet none of Bader’s four opponents could muster a blow to derail the Swiss racer’s precision tuning and driving offensive.
