Round 7: Wexford Stages Rally, 7-8 September

Damian Cole moved back into the championship lead with a maximum championship points haul and second overall on the Wexford Stages Rally.

Cole and co-driver Elliott Edmondson finished over a minute clear of Steve Simpson and Patrick Walsh; Simpson now trails Cole by four points in the race for the drivers’ title.

Ashley Field’s Darrian T90 GTR was troubled with electrical bothers throughout the first day but came through ahead of Graham Coffey’s Impreza WRC and the ever-improving Alex Laffey’s Fiesta S2000.
